It has become one of the most followed TV programs all over the world. It has been distributed to 66 countries and it was the most watched television program in the world in 2008. The show has received several awards, including a People's Choice Award, a Peabody Award, two Golden Globe Awards, and three Primetime Emmy Awards. The main character of the series is Dr. Gregory House (Hugh Laurie). He was starred by David Shore, who was inspired in Sherlock Holmes to create him. Other characters are: Dr. James Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard), the only friend that House has got. He's like Watson in the novel developed by Conan Doyle. Dr. Lisa Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein), the hospital administrator. Dr. Robert Chase (Jesse Spencer), one of the doctors that work for House. Dr. Allison Cameron (Jennifer Morrison), a doctor that leaves the series in the sixth season. Dr. Eric Foreman (Omar Epps), member of the medical team. Dr. Remy "Thirteen" Hadley (Olivia Wilde), member of the medical team. Dr. Chris Taub (Peter Jacobson), doctor who works for House. Dr. Lawrence Kutner (Kal Penn), another member of House's medical team. In the fifth season, he dies.

House and his team try to find out their patients' illnesses from strange symptoms.The team employs the differential diagnosis method with House guiding the deliberations.

AS CURIOSITY: House suffer from a narcotic dependency to the Vicodin, because of his leg pain. From the beginning of sixth season, he leaves that drugaddiction.
